Most of you already have call forwarding on your regular phones. With Skype call forwarding, the same system applies. You can answer your Skype calls when you are not online, or are traveling, away from home; or from anywhere you are.

The benefits derived by Skype call forwarding enables you to receive calls wherever you are; divert calls to three numbers at the same time, and pay with the Skype credit to forward calls to regular phones.

The only time you pay if for calls you choose to forward to your regular or mobile phones. The charges are listed under th SkypeOut. SkypeOut rates page available on Skype’s website. You pay for the call forwarding service the same way you pay for SkypeOut service. You buy the credit from your account page or directly from the Skype software available.

Here’s how it works. When you are not on Skype, your calls can be forwarded to a regular phone or mobile phone. Remember, you will need the latest version of Skype for Windows in order to proceed. Open the options window on Skype, click on tools, options and select call forwarding and voicemail tab.

Enter the phone number you want the calls forwarded to. Ensure that you enter the number exactly as you would when calling from a regular phone. You can also have your calls forwarded to more than one number by clicking on advanced settings, and entering the list of numbers. Be sure to click on save when you are finished so that your calls will be forwarded to the numbers you selected.
